The 2146 RFID key safe is the XL version of our 2141 RFID key safe and offers space for up to 21 keys. The 21 key hooks can be removed if necessary to enable storage and handover of larger items like tablets and laptops.

This key safe uses RFID technology as an access control system.

Authorised individuals are given access to the key safe with the registered transponder medium. The process is automatic and contactless. There’s no need to use another key or input a code. Enable employees and service providers to efficiently gain access even outside of operating and opening hours – around the clock – while you retain complete control.

Existing RFID media that meet these standards can be used, no new RFID media need to be purchased.

Data is exchanged between the transponder and the reader by means of an (electro-)magnetic field. The passive transponder is supplied with energy as soon as it approaches the reader, thus enabling data exchange. There is no need for an internet or power connection. The closing motor, on the other hand, is battery-operated and allows up to 15,000 opening operations with just two AAA batteries.

Access allocation

The enclosed master card allows you to flexibly add new users and remove existing ones. From the time they are added, registered users will have access to the key safe and be able to open it contactlessly using their access medium. In contrast, unregistered media will be unable to unlock the lock.

Material and space requirements

The housing made of high-quality stainless steel measuring 3 mm thick is sturdy, secure and weatherproof. The RFID lock is also resistant to the elements and, with its protected electronics, is ideally suited to outdoor use.

When lithium batteries are used, the key safe can also be used in extreme weather conditions (-40° to +60° Celsius).

There is plenty of space inside the safe with 21 key hooks that can be removed as an option.

The masunt E Code and R Code models can basically be surface-mounted and flush-mounted. If you would like a free-standing stainless steel wall, the wall shown as an example can be supplied too, fitted with different E Code models. The wall for holding the E Code and R Code key safes is fitted with a roof with rain drainage and can be robustly anchored to the ground. The free-standing wall can be supplied either as a screw-on or embedding version. The price refers to the wall only, and the respective product to be mounted on the wall must be added. masunt Stainless steel cleaning and care set

Particularly when our stainless steel products are installed outdoors, flash rust can form over time (especially near the coast), negatively impacting the appearance of the stainless steel finish. The high-quality stainless steel finish is preserved in the long term too thanks to the cleaning and care set developed specifically for our products. The stainless steel care oil prevents small particles that later go on to form flash rust from sticking to our solutions. Depending on the weather conditions, we recommend using the care oil and a microfibre polishing cloth to treat your product one to three times a year. If flash rust has already formed on your product, removing it to restore your product to its sparkling splendour is child’s play with the cleaning and polishing paste and the supplied special sponge.
